British Birthday Dinner

One of the families that have really helped us out as we made the transition to island life are the Allreds, who have been more than generous with their time and well supplied kitchen. Turns out that Adrian, the husband, was actually in Brandon's mission a few years earlier than him. We often talk about the love we all have for England especially the food (except Beth and their children who has never been, but don't worry Beth you will love it when you go).
Anyway when Brandon's birthday was coming up, I thought what's going to one thing that Brandon would love to celebrate his 26th birthday?... Oh, how about all the deliciousness of English food that we keep drooling over?

So it was decided, now I just had to figure how to do it. Anyone knowing me in the kitchen would understand that sometimes my cooking does not come out as I planned so I needed help. Luckily I volunteered the Allred family kitchen and home to have Brandon's British Birthday Dinner.

Beth did most of the cooking. She was amazing, she even made a home made gravy and Yorkshire puddings from scratch that she learned from her cooking class. ( Thank you
Haratio)

Beth and Brandon busy in the kitchen.

Yummy Yorkshire puddings

Juicy Lamb with mint

Bringing out the dessert

British Trifle: jelly, sponge cake, strawberry, peaches, British custard, whipped cream and grated chocolate = DELICIOUSNESS

Thanks Allreds for sharing and doing the most in Brandon's Birthday. It still makes my mouth water.

What nice friends you have. The food looks awesome.

(I think Brandon made the gravy, he's going to get his feelings hurt for not getting the credit. We have more birthdays coming up to do it again.....)
